[Boarding and handling of an infected chronic wound in a diabetic patient]

Abstract :

The exposed clinical case shows the ambulatory treatment and evolution of a chronic wound with venous component in a long evolution diabetic patient treated from the external advisory service of a geriatric hospital. It shows a difficult handling case due to the predisposition of the patient to infection by his diabetic condition. The case shows the wound healing in 109 days thanks of an aetiological boarding by a multilayer bandage and the correct topical and systemic antimicrobial treatment applied.
